There are hundreds of millions marginalized children and youth in the world. Not only does this situation affect us all (development, public health, public security…), but it continues to get worse despite the efforts of many organizations to turn things around. We believe that traditional charity models are not working and need to be replaced by new models that combine the best of the NGO world and the best of the business world.
In order to respond to that challenge, Friends-International focuses on four main priorities:
- To reach the highest social return and impact through its Friends Programs, the ChildSafe Movement and the ChildSafe Alliance
- To provide best quality services to those we help through building best practice models in all Friends Programs and throughout the ChildSafe Alliance.
- To replicate successful models in line with local realities through the ChildSafe Alliance.
- To ensure the sustainability of our programs in terms of structure, policy development, behavior change and financially through our Friends Social Business Program.
